About that Putin Speech
The US and Britain specialize in killing and terrorizing innocent civilians.
The biased, un-journalistic, narrative spouting corporate war propaganda media in the West has had a field day trashing a Putin speech delivered after a majority of citizens in Donbas and other southern oblasts voted to separate themselves from the Stepan Bandera worshipping portion of the country.
I cannot translate Russian into English and do not trust internet machine translation, so I must rely on the work of others, in this instance Konstantin Kisin at Threadreader.
President Putin did not dwell on the referendums or the military situation in Ukronazilandia. Instead, he brought to light for millions of people the manifest crimes of the USG.
Not all of the following is from Putin’s speech. Much of it is commentary by Kissin. If you are able to read Russian, there is a link to the speech above.
The West uses the power of finance and technology to enforce its will on other nations. To collect what he calls the "hegemon's tax". To this end the West destabilises countries, creates terrorist enclaves and most of all seeks to deprive other countries of sovereignty.
This is pure, out-and-out fact, amply documented in a large number of books, monographs, articles, and videos (many were memory hole scrubbed out of existence, lest you begin to think for yourself and ask “extremist” questions.
The following map shows which countries the US has invaded or undermined.
History Commons was an excellent source of material on this and other political topics. However, that website is no longer reachable, yanked from the internet by unknown sources.
It is this "avarice" and desire to preserve its power that is the reason for the "hybrid war" the collective West is "waging on Russia". They want us to be a "colony". They do not want us to be free, they want Russians to be a mob of soulless slaves - direct quote.
The rules-based order the West goes on about is "nonsense". Who made these rules? Who agreed to them? Russia is an ancient country and civilization and we will not play by these "rigged" rules. The West has no moral authority to challenge the referendums because it has violated... the borders of other countries. Western elites are "totalitarian, despotic and apartheidistic" - direct quote. They are racist against Russia and other countries and nations. "Russophobia is racism". They discriminate by calling themselves the "civilised world".
Indeed, it is not simply Russia. Any nation not adhering to neoliberal theft gets the same treatment.
Yes, the “rules” are rigged for USG and its preferred corporate partners and “stakeholders,” all either dumb as a rock or without conscience. It’s absurd to say Russia is a racist country while most of the victims of unprovoked USG wars and “military operations” are brown-skinned people having done nothing wrong except declare their independence and occasionally shut down loan shark operations and bribery imposed by the financial class “stakeholder.”
They colonised, started the global slave trade, genocided native Americans, pillaged India and Africa, forced China to buy opium through war. We, on the other hand, are proud that we "led" the anti-colonial movement that helped countries develop to reduce poverty and inequality.
Most Americans, however, being geopolitical idiots, are unaware of the true nature of a government that insists (especially during “election” season) it supports “democracy” and the will of the people. As for “poverty and inequality,” the USG and its non-government “stakeholder” co-conspirators either hate the people they “represent,” or are so clueless they have no idea what is going on around them. I believe the former is the accurate description. Sociopaths only care about their own welfare and revel in the misfortune of others.
We remember [attempts to destroy Russia]. We didn't forget. The West claims to bring freedom and democracy to other countries but it's the exact opposite of the truth. The unipolar world is anti-democratic by its very nature. It is a lie. They used nuclear weapons, creating a precedent. They flattened German cities without "any military need to do so". There was no need for this except to scare us and the rest of the world. Korea, Vietnam. To this day they "occupy" Japan, South Korea and Germany and other countries while cynically calling them "allies".
The USG war machine killed hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians when it firebombed Tokyo and nuked militarily insignificant Japanese cities. Official history books—rife with rewrites, lies, omissions, and distortions—claim the US was Europe’s savior by defeating Hitler and the Nazis. In fact, Russia provided the dedicated push that ended the war.
The US and Britain specialize in incinerating and terrorizing innocent civilians.
According to Revisionist.net,
When people think of the Allied bombing of Germany, “Dresden” automatically springs to mind, surely not Wesel, Nürnberg or Würzburg or the hundreds of other obliterated German towns and cities. While people uselessly debate the death toll at Dresden, attention is diverted from the 45,000 to 50,000 civilians murdered in the bombing of Hamburg, the 10,000 people intentionally burned alive in Kassel, the fact that 20% of Nordhausen’s civilian population was killed in a mere fifteen minute attack or that one out of three Pforzheimers was murdered and thousands more hideously injured from an unnecessary bombing based on nothing more that a rumor.
“The world is going through a revolutionary transformation. A multipolar world offers nations freedom to develop as they wish and they make up the majority of the world.”
Here Putin hits the nail squarely on the head. For the financial elite and the USG, the prospect of a multipolar world where a corroded dollar is no longer king of the reserve currency is a monumental nightmare. It will do everything it can to retain control over the world’s finances and continue the serial theft of natural resources. If that entails WWIII, so be it.
For these control freak geniuses, the frightening aspect of losing a mere inch of captured territory and the equally scary prospect of a basket of different currencies now being used in commercial transactions (especially petroleum) is the worst possible outcome, sort of like stage 4 cancer.
Allow me to paraphrase an old maxim: an animal is never more dangerous than when it is cornered. This is precisely what the USG and its “allies” and “partners” have done since the fall of communism—paint Russia into an inescapable corner.
For secretary of (the national security) state Tony Blinken and his cognitively befuddled boss, the plan is exactly to paint Russia into a corner and sit back and see what happens. Blinken and the cerebral cortex diminished “president” have refused to negotiate an end to the war and, in their minds (and what is left of Joe’s) the only acceptable result is a defeated Russia, a dead Putin, and carving the country up into little controllable mini-(failed and feudal) states. It has zilch to do with “democracy” and freedom, two words that have lost their original meaning (as Orwell said, it is the prerogative of the state to say something one day, and then turn around and say something completely different the next day).
They are forming primarily in Europe, not America. This is the land of the ill-educated in foreign policy and geopolitics. It will take near starvation and the prospect of homelessness before they wake up to the real truth.
However, by the time they do, it will certainly be too late. It is predicted, by 2050 or sooner, by the arrogant narcissist and crony capitalist Elon Musk, full autonomous cyborg robots will walk the earth with a mission to help humanity “build back better.” As yet invented artificial robots may also be used to assassinate influential members of a stubborn opposition worried about endless war, inflation, and other comic crimes foisted upon them.
It is necessary to have a soulless machine without a conscience do the killing required by the state. The ruling elite has had enough of you and me, generations of those of us who worked to help keep civilization on its feet and moving forward. We built this country, at one time a beacon of individual natural rights (at least partially).
Our job is done and we are no longer needed.
