It's difficult to break through the propaganda and realize that everything one has been trained to believe about the system is a fraud, and that our so-called "liberal democracy" is actually a false front for the war-mongering, corporatist oligarchy which has controlled the US since at least WW1. A better description of this beast is "liberal-fascism", and it is a hydra with many heads.
